First, a ****Spoiler Warning: This post contains Spoilers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and possible Spoilers for Star Wars: Episode VIII. Read at your own joyful peril!***
At the end of The Force Awakens, Rey travels to Ahch-to, where she finds Luke Skywalker and hands him the lightsaber she was drawn to at Maz’s cantina.
According to reports, Rian Johnson’s Episode VIII picks up right where TFA left off, and speculation is that Rey will begin training with (HER FATHER) (***NOT A SPOILER***) Luke, but the real-world Ahch-to location has changed (TFA Ahch-to was shot on the island of Skellig Michael). Filming has been taking place off the coast of Ireland, Kerry County — and specifically atop Ceann Sibéal, where an incredible Jedi temple set has been built.

And finally, Rian Johnson released a couple of set photos, noting that Episode VIII is halfway through filming.
Who’s that X-Wing pilot? Could it be Noah Segan? Wonder what Johnson has to say about it…
