Most cancelled series don’t get a comeback chance, but there are two for which I have varying degrees of high hopes: Hannibal, and Agent Carter. The first is because Bryan Fuller won’t let our dreams die, and the Hannibal cast has made it known they’d love to finish out the series’ Season 4 story. As for Agent Carter — despite taking part in that horrible replacement series — Hayley Atwell continues to lead the charge, ensuring that her Marvelous heroine stays front and center in our brains.
During an appearance at Denver’s 2016 Comic-Con, attendees relayed that the hunt for a new Agent Carter home continues; even Marvel is involved.
@keysmashblog Hayley said in her panel that everyone, including Marvel, are fighting to find a new home for Agent Carter.

@KateGrand It was something along the lines of how she feels that they aren’t done with Agent Carter.

As the tweets indicate, the statement isn’t a direct quote, but still…knowing that Marvel is on the case and wants to continue Peggy’s story is a huge bonus. Might I suggest she take her place alongside Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders? It only makes perfect sense.
Meanwhile, Atwell’s comments arent’ the only thing drumming thoughts of Peggy deep into our brains. As part of its celebration of Captain America’s 75th birthday, one of Marvel’s mobile games has a very exciting new Cap incarnation.
Peggy taking on Captain America’s mantle is really a natural extension of Steve Roger’s ideals. They’re both underdogs who’ve had to work incredibly hard to overcome the odds stacked against them, and they’re fiercely devoted to building a better world and paving the way for others.” (Paige Pettoruto, Demiurge Studios’ Character Designer)
Just look at this gorgeous promo for Puzzle Quest‘s Peggy, and tell me you don’t want to see a similar version play out on Netflix.
Come on, Marvel and Netflix, work this out. We don’t care how you do it; just bring back our Peggy.
