Gwendoline Christie Hosts a Star Wars Panel with the Rogue One Cast and Previews a New Clip

***Spoiler Warning: Mild Spoilers for Rogue One are contained in this post and the video. Spoilers***

Our lovely friend Zbornak made me aware there was a live stream of the 2016 Star Wars Celebration Europe available, and that a certain Mikkelsen fella was captured therein. Of course, I immediately investigated and sped through as much as I could of the relevant material. There are over four hours of footage, so I noted where the pertinent marks are.

At the 2:59:00 mark, a Rogue One crawl starts, then Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie) comes out and that’s where you’ll find me, screaming along with her. Mads Mikkelsen, Felicity Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, and, of course, director Gareth Edwards and Lucasfilm executives Kathy Kennedy Kiri Hart and Don Knoll.

I’ll just let you know that, before getting started, Christie calls for a moment in honor of the people slain in Nice, and she gets visibly choked up at some of the crowd singing France’s anthem; you may, too.

At the 3:19:13 mark, you’ll get to see a NEW Rogue One clip with lots of behind-the-scenes stuff.

At 3:22:26, Christie welcomes Felicity Jones to the Star Wars action figure club, giving Jones her own Jyn Erso figure, and noting it’s not as good as Christie’s own.

At about 3:42:00, Christie hoots for Mads and, at 3:48:00, she can barely contain her flirting with Mendelsohn.

Darth Vader is confirmed; I repeat: Darth Vader is confirmed.

Look at Christie towering over the entire group!

I have to go watch the whole panel, now. Happy Friday, y’all.

Update: Looks like since the live stream is over, the video is disappeared. Hopefully, bits and pieces will find their way to us again.

Here’s the new teaser:

Highlights video — this looks like most of what I saw.
