Vikings, Season 4: Ragnar Has a Big Problem

Viking history is a funny thing. It’s all hand-me-down tales with compelling but unverifiable facts … and people. Ragnar Lothbrok (Lodbrok) and his (maybe) sons are legendary — we want to believe — and the way History Channel’s Vikings plays out their stories is exhilarating. If you haven’t yet partaken, thanks to this great group of actors, their relationships, and the glorious action sequences, it’s easy enough to become immersed in the world and slam through three-plus seasons (Amazon, iTunes). Currently, we’re halfway through the fourth and at SDCC, this peek at the season’s back half teases some crazy stuff.

Is this the beginning of Ragnar’s (Travis Fimmel) curious — stories of the method vary — end?

Is he pitting son against son? (Alex Høgh Andersen as Ivar The Boneless)

(Alexander Ludwig as Björn Ironside)

And what exactly is happening here? (*wild cheers*) Our kingdom for a Ragnar/Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) reunion!

Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård) is ever wary.

Will Lagertha kick Queen Aslaug’s (Alyssa Sutherland) arse? PLEASE?

Somehow, we have to make it until this fall to find out (at least we don’t have to wait for Winter).
