Split: Forget the Part About Shyamalan and Focus on 23 (Twenty-Three!) McAvoys

If I can do this, you can do this. Yeah, Split is a film written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, but is also a film featuring James McAvoy as a man suffering dissociative identity disorder and, by gum, does he look terrifying in this trailer. If you’ve seen Filth — WHY HAVEN’T YOU SEEN FILTH? — you know just how deeply McAvoy can rock the madness, and all you needed to hear was “multiple personalities” to know this is mandatory viewing. Now, watch the trailer and tell me you aren’t all in; regardless of some of Shyamalan’s disappointments, tell me you aren’t intrigued.

Split also stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Betty Buckley, Jessica Sula, Haley Lu Richardson, and Sterling K. Brown; it’s in theaters January 20, 2017. And don’t worry …
