It’s here, it’s here! With each little bit more of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story we get to see, the thunder in our hearts grows louder. This is Star Wars in all its dark glory, with just a dash of hope to get us through. Kidnapping, rebels, the Empire, and Darth Vader … we know what comes later, but this ragtag band would still have us believe something can be different. Finally, we get a good glimpse of Mads Mikkelsen’s Galen Erso, Jyn’s illustrious father and creator of plans for a terrible weapon that Director Krennick (Ben Mendelsohn) will do anything to get his hands on, to build. My gods, we need December to roll around quickly.
Those Empire rat-bastards kidnapped our Mads; forget the Death Star plans; rescue him!
So sweet.
And just look at this gorgeous poster.
