Far be it from me to comment on a person’s reinvention; who among us hasn’t been lost or changed course somewhere along this journey of life?
So, when I saw that Lindsay Lohan, who’s been through a heck of a lot in her life — led by shall we say, a turbulent childhood with terrible parenting, she’s suffered the dregs of Hollywood, survived substance and physical and emotional abuse — still creating new opportunities for herself, I was no less than impressed. Lohan’s latest gig is one where she’ll be more behind the scenes, with a Greek nightclub that bears her name.
At its opening, Lindsay proved she’ll never be done with acting; in fact, you simply will not believe the accent she donned while promoting both her club, and world peace.
I’m not sure exactly what corner of the world La Lohan was going for, but from the looks on bystanders’ faces, I think she nailed it.
You know, I should probably just let Lindsay tell you about this strange, new affectation where the accent came from herself.
Je ne sais pas. It’s a mixture of most of the languages I can understand or am trying to learn … I’ve been learning different languages since I was a child. I’m fluent in English and French can understand Russian and am learning Turkish, Italian and Arabic.”
She’s even named her new sound, calling it “LILLOHAN”.
Despite her often lighthearted reputation, I will say Lindsay seems committed to bringing awareness to the Syrian refugee crisis, and for that I applaud her. Now if you’ll please excuse me, I have to go practice my LILOHAN; I’ve got some international travel planned.
