Patty Jenkins and the people behind DC’s Wonder Woman marketing are damned smart.
I can’t think of a better metaphor for the upcoming week, for what’s about to happen in the United States of American and women the world over. When I look at this trailer, all I see is exactly what we need to get us through the last of these days before November 8th; the symbolism couldn’t be more perfect.
Because, come election day, Hillary Rodham Clinton will have fended off all of Trump’s nasty attacks.
She’s waved away his rhetoric, his empty accusations and the never-ending barrage of “But Hillary .. ” he and his campaign have lobbed instead of real answers or plans for our country.
At all three of the Presidential debates, Hillary simply kicked Trump’s ass.
She’s worked hard, climbed her way up through the ranks, risen above everything
and on November 8th, she will smash right through that glass ceiling (or wall, as it were) to take her rightful place as the first woman President of the United States of America.
Wonder Woman, indeed.
Oh, here’s the gorgeous full trailer; the movie looks fantastic, too!
Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis, Ewen Bremner, David Thewlis and Lisa Loven Kongsli. It hits theaters June 2, 2017.
