“We’re All Human Beings and We All Can Stick Together”: Cheers to Friendly Skies and Diplomatic Pilots

Good grief; I think we’ve found fodder for Charlie Brooker’s next episode.

Vacation and flying to beautiful destinations to relax and get away from it all is supposed to be just that; a trip to somewhere so you can get away from it all. Not so you can get into throwing hateful comments at your fellow fliers. On a recent United trip from the states to Puerto Vallarta, some … person decided to be nasty to another passenger. Thankfully, the very calm, level headed pilot quickly took control, and gave the cabin folks an inspiring speech, which was quickly met with applause. The one thing I’d like to add is that if this incident did involve someone saying something racist (as noted in the description), United should make it known to that person his behavior is utterly unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

It’s a shame the person flying the plane also has to play kindergarten teacher, but since he had to:

Get it together, people!
