When Netflix released the first Iron Fist trailer, many of us were worried the series wouldn’t live up to those of its fellow Defenders — Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Daredevil. From the terrible reviews already hitting the interwebs, our fears were well founded. That said, the standout in the trailer and here in her new featurette is Colleen Wing, played by Game of Thrones‘ Jessica Henwick (aka Nymeria Sand). Henwick has an energy that transcends Finn Jones’ Danny Rand — there’s something electric when she’s fighting that’s wholly more exciting than what we’re getting from him.
It’s also rather amusing that both Danny and Colleen each have a perfect line to indicate her importance. Check it:
Iron Fist stars Jones, Henwick, Rosario Dawson, David Wenham, Tom Pelphrey, Lewis Tan, Wai Ching Ho and Jessica Stroup; it premieres on Netflix beginning March 17th. Bring caffeine, I guess.
