This will be quite confusing, but it’s Nicolas Winding Refn, so basically — what else would you expect? The Neon Demon director and fellow Mads aficionado is about to head his first Amazon Original Series, Too Old to Die Young, starring Miles Teller as Martin — an L.A. police officer involved in a world of assassins. Aside from a simple synopsis, there is almost no information about the series:
It explores the criminal underbelly of Los Angeles by following characters’ existential journeys from being killers to becoming samurais in the City of Angels.”
Refn has created and written the series with Ed Brubaker (Westworld), and Refn will direct all ten episodes of the series — which as far as we know has absolutely nothing to do with dinosaurs — and yet, here is a clip of the London Museum of Natural History’s own animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex doing his thing, as a recording of Anton LaVey reading a passage from his book, The Satanic Bible plays. Yeah! Let’s see if we can make sense of it.

Are we not all predatory animals by instinct? If humans ceased wholly from preying upon each other, could they continue to exist? Is not lust and … “
Nope. I don’t have any idea what the hell is happening, either, but you just try and stop me from watching!
Too Old to Die Young is headed to Amazon sometime in 2018. Until then …
