On the heels of their successful live action Beauty and the Beast, Disney is — of course — ready to roll out more, more, more such adaptions, because money, money, money. Mind you, I’m not complaining, merely observing.
Word on the street is that next on the assembly line is Carlo Collodi’s classic tale of Pinocchio, the little puppet boy who comes to life. Chris Weitz (Rogue One, Cinderella, Antz) has already written the screenplay, and Sam Mendez is in talks to direct, so all we need are the actors. Of course, a couple of people immediately come to mind to play the kindly woodcarver, Geppetto.
The wonderfully talented Christoph Waltz would be an excellent choice,
as would Oohlo favorite, Mads Mikkelsen.
But, I have a less conventional suggestion for Geppetta.
Come on, you know Dame Helen would be perfection in a Disney musical!
As for her counterpart, the little wooden puppet girl who comes to life, here are two fabulous young actresses, either of whom we’d be lucky to see as Pinocchia:

Millie Bobby Brown
or

Dafne Keen
How ’bout it, Disney? Won’t you make our dreams come true …
