Saturdays Are Perfect for Giffing Out Black Panther‘s Glorious Warrior Women

Since we first met him in Captain America:  Civil War, MCU fans have been anxiously awaiting Chadwick Boseman’s return as Black Panther, and yesterday Marvel finally gave us a peek — first, of this drool-worthy poster (go ahead, bitch about the photoshopping; I’m still drooling) —

and later with the first trailer.

And, while I’m all in for T’Challa,

the shots that really caught my eye were all of warrior women, starting with this look from Okoye (Danai Gurira) that I’m going to use every time a certain politician says something,

and continuing on …

… and on …

and on.

We can already see how badass the Dora Milaje (Wakanda’s special forces) will be.

And Panther is surrounded by the likes of Angela Bassett (Ramonda, Queen Mother of Wakanda),

Lupita Nyong’o (Nakia),

Florence Kasumba (Ayo), Letitia Wright (Shuri), and Phylicia Rashad (undisclosed). There are of course a few boys — Sterling K. Brown, Michael B. Jordan, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, John Kani, Forest Whitaker, Martin Freeman, Andy Serkis [aka Bilbo and Gollum]) — but with this particular group of warriors, I think we all know who the real stars are.

Black Panther is directed by Ryan Coogler, and hits theaters next February.
