Whoa, Language! Surly Teen Groot Is the Breakout Comedy Star Avengers: Infinity War Needs

There’s other stuff that happens in this new Avengers:  Infinity War tease (most of which we’ve already seen) but to be honest, WHO GIVES A FORK? (Sorry, Cap!)


No, seriously — go right to the :44 mark. You won’t regret it, and you will definitely want the scene on a loop.

The scene is beautifully played by all parties, including Dad Peter (Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista) and even an out of focus Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and voice-only Rocket (“Language!), but the show-stopper is surly Groot (now voiced by Terry Notary instead of Vin Diesel) and his snotty reply to being told to get off his device.


As parent to two teenagers and a tween (H.E.L.P.), I can confirm this is an utterly accurate depiction of the whole parent/teen dynamic, and I cannot wait to see more of Groot stealing Infinity War.

Avengers:  Infinity War is in theaters April 27th. Now, here’s that loop …
